The Centro Mediterraneo Pintaderaopened in 2004, is located in the heart of the historic centre of Alghero, a picturesque and quiet town on the north-west coast of Sardinia. Pintadera is open all year round and each of its courses includes organised activities to explore the Sardinian way of life and discover first-hand the local customs and traditions, food and wine. Pintadera students become part of the local community.

Pintadera offers a variety of Italian language and culture courses in Sardinia. Intensive 'Language' courses with 20h per week in groups of 3-8 people are the heart of the Pintadera programme. Different aspects of Italian and Sardinian culture are explored in the afternoons with the 'Culture' course. Other courses offered: 'AllegraMente' for travellers, individual lessons, Italian and Sardinian cooking lessons, Italian for children and a summer camp for teenagers. Pintadera is an authorised centre for CILS examinations.

With native Italian-speaking teachers, Pintadera takes the language out of the classroom and into the streets of Alghero. The programme goes beyond a simple course: the aim is to provide Italian language teaching in a pleasant and stimulating environment through a balanced combination of study and leisure in which students of different cultures and generations can thrive together.
