L'Istituto Il David is a Italian language school for foreigners located in the centre of Florence, close to all the most important monuments. Established in 1983, it is officially authorised by the Italian Ministry of Education. It offers a wide choice of Italian language and culture courses available throughout the year. All classrooms are air-conditioned and there is free wifi. The environment is familiar and friendly. Throughout the year, it welcomes students of all ages from over 50 nationalities worldwide.

The school proposes Italian language courses for all levels in group, combined, individual, timed. Minimum duration of one week, maximum one year. Group courses take place from Monday to Friday mainly in the mornings. Classes have a maximum of 12 students and a minimum of 4, but almost always average 7/8 students. For beginner students there are fixed starting dates, while those who already have some knowledge of Italian can start classes any Monday. Each lesson hour lasts 55 minutes.

The teaching programmes are the result of constant and continuous experimentation carried out during many years of intensive activity at the school. They are constantly evolving on the basis of the best results achieved by the students in their lessons and courses. They are also flexible and organised on the basis of the knowledge and characteristics of individual students. All teachers are native Italian speakers and university graduates. They follow the student individually and constantly with patience and availability.
