San Giovanni Valdarno is situated in the centre of the Upper Valdarno and is one of the principal centres of the Valdarno Aretino.
It is midway between Florence and Arezzo and preserves, parallelly, both the ancient industrial tradition and the artistic one.
The centre is surrounded by hills and mountains and it is situated on a small 21 Km wide territory, that is completely leaning against the Arno riverbed, that runs through the town.
San Giovanni Valdarno is situated in the centre of the Upper Valdarno and is one of the principal centres of the Valdarno Aretino.
If you want to reach San Giovanni Valdarno by train, the reference is the station of the town itself, that has got direct connections with Florence.
On the contrary, by car, you can drive along the motorway A1 (both if you are coming from the North and from the South), and then follow the exit sign to San Giovanni in Valdarno.
