Among the typical dishes of Lucca is the spelt soup, with the delightful flavour that is prepared with the ancient traditional recipe whose main ingredient is the spelt of the Garfagnana, corn that was eaten since the times of the ancient Romans.

Other products are the extra virgin olive oil, renowned throughout Italy, the white and red wine of Montecarlo and hills of Lucca, the Buccellato, typical sweet of Lucca with raisins, the honey of the hills of Compitese or of Garfagnana, the milk and the meat of Garfagnana.
