Travel and Culture in Sicily
The village of Milazzo is placed at the beginning of a long and sharp peninsula in the north-east of Sicily.
About 35,000 people live in Milazzo and the town is at the same time both touristic and artistic, with ancient origins.
Being nearby Eolian Islands and having a well working harbour, its economic development is characterized by environmental activities like agriturism and flower cultivation. Milazzo, thanks to its particular position, is easily reachable with every kind of means of transport.
The closest airports are “Minniti” in Reggio Calabria and “Fontanarossa” in Catania.
If you want to travel by car, Milazzo is connected with Messina and Palermo both by road 113 (SS113) and by A20 motorway.
If you want to get to Milazzo by boat, you can leave form Naples or Messina; if you take the train ther’s a line between Messina and Palermo.
