Milazzo offers many interesting events all over the year. During summer, especially, several concerts and theatrical performances are organized even inside the Castle.

The celebrations in honour of Madonna della Neve, patron saint of seamen, are held during the first week of August.

Another important event is the “Mamertino di Milazzo”, promoted by the Italian Agriculture Ministry in order to recognize the quality of Mamertino wine, appreciated since Giulio Cesare’s age and produced in the Milazzo area.

In October 2004 Milazzo was honored with the prize “Wine city with strong touristic vocation” by the International Swiss Fair for tourism and local enogastronomy.
