Travel and Culture in Sardinia
Posada is really interesting, both from the artistic and the historical point of view.
The small town stands on a calcareous hill near the sea, dominated by the 12th-13th century Fava Castle (Casteddu de sa Fae, in Sardinian language).
From the fortress of the castle you can admire the wonderful coastal landscape and the enchanting view of the hinterland. Then you can see the old houses on the rocky hill, that stand among narrow and steep streets with very characteristic steep stairs.
Besides the castle we recommend you to visit St Anthony’s church and Monte Idda and Pizzinnu Nuraghe, that are archeological finds of great value.
