Travel and Culture in Sardinia
Sardinia has preserved with loving care the charme of its tradition bound to the typical Mediterranean culture.
In Posada you can find some typical festivals, as Santu Jubanne, on 24th June and Santu Miali, that is held on the last Sunday of August
Alghero does not contradict this link with tradition and so many folklore events are organized in town all year round.
In January, for example, you can find the “Bogamarì in the Alghero kitchen”, a gastronomic show that presents the dishes with sea urchins as protagonists.
On St John’s days (23rd and 24th June)there are the traditional bonfires on the bastions of the historical centre.
The “Alghero August”, instead, presents a series of summer concerts, realized inside St Francis’ cloister and, in the same period, you can take part in the “Tourist’s Festival” with music, dances and local gastronomy.
