Turin has got 16 million squaremetres of parks and gardens and 70 km of park along the Po: this area makes Turin be one of the greenest towns in Italy.
In town there are 17 parks and the most important ones are: Valentino Park (with a Botanic Garden inside that dates back to 1700), alla Pellerina Park, along the banks of the Dora Riparia (equipped with skating rinks and tennis courts for who wants to enjoy nature and practice sport), della Rimembranza Park and the Royal Gardens, that preserve the ancient 16th century walls.
