From the artistic point of view Lugano offers numerous monuments to be visited (especially churches) among which St Laurence’s Cathedral is of great interest because of its beauty.
Then we suggest you to visit: St George’s Church, probably built between 1615 and 1618, St Rocco’s Church (1596), that stands a few steps away from the Arte Cantonale Museum and St Maria degli Angeli Church, that preserves the Renaissance jewels by Bernardo Luini.
The Palazzo Civico, instead, was built in 1844 and today it is the seat of the town municipality.
