Bagno di Romagna is a touristic resort in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Appennines, which is known for its thermal water
The nature present in Bagno di Romagna offers some beautiful, healthy and charming landscapes, which you can enjoy on foot, following the well-trodden paths, horse riding or by mountain bike.
Through these routes you can reach different destinations, among which there is a particularly interesting one, the valley of the great silence (Bidente di Pietrapazza valley). This valley is austere and beautiful and it is here, in a creative silence, where a varied and numerous fauna lives.

This valley is a paradise for trippers, who can find here a deep silence, a varied and numerous fauna, mixed copses, ex-degraded tilled land, mule tracks and paths, many stone manufactured articles, but they will not find any man, who left this area in the Fifties and Sixties. The only settlements left (Cà di Veroli, Rio Salso, Trappisa di Sotto, Trappisa di Sopra, Cà di Pasquino, Cortine) have been restored, while many other houses are in a state of complete neglect. Pietrapazza – a church, a cimitery, a parsonage, a bridge, a Majesty and an unsafe knot of houses – is the synthesis of this neglected, beautiful and gloomy valley.
