VINARIUM is located in downtown Florence. It offers food and wine related activities, from group or individual cooking classes, to guided wine tasting and wine tours.

Our services are offered at various locations, according to the nature of the activity, such as our kitchen at Palazzo Borghese in Via de’ Pandolfini, Enoteca Bene Vobis, in Via de’ Serragli and Caffè La Pergola in Via della Pergola, all located in the historical centre.

A List of wines coming from small vineyards is available and can be shipped all over the world. The selection is based on the personal experience of the owner, Andrea Moradei, director of the Koinè Center and a life-long wine enthusiast.

Considering the success of these programs in Florence, Vinarium has opened a new center in Lucca. In a 14th century building in dowmtown Lucca, in front of the Torre Guinigi.

Wine Tastings may be scheduled for any dates with two-day advance notice, and can be conducted in your native language. There are tastings covering the full production of Tuscan wines. You may take one program or combine them to customize a program to your interests. For example, you can choose some of the best Super Tuscans for a guided tasting or you can taste old Brunello vintages in a Montalcino winery cellar.

Cooking Lessons: Vinarium offers private hands-on cooking lessons with an opportunity to enjoy what you've cooked along with appropriate Tuscan wines. For individuals and small groups in your native language in Florence, Lucca, or at your location. There is also a special residential program in the Maremma.

Oil Tastings may be scheduled for any dates with two-day advance notice, and can be conducted in your native language. You'll learn about cold-pressed oil and the modern system to press olives, and how to recognize oil defects. You'll taste different oils and sample toasted bread with garlic, black cabbage, and different oils.

Oil Excursions Olive trees are an ever-present part of the Tuscan landscape. Some trees are 300 years old and have silently followed the history of mankind. This excursion takes you to the heart of the Tuscan oil kingdom - the hills around Impruneta, San Casciano, and Tavarnelle. Here the olives are still collected by hand with the help of tall wood ladders leaning against the olive branches. The oil is still stored in enormous terracotta brick jars manufactured in Impruneta.

Winery excursions: Vinarium organizes guided tours by private car to the farms and vineyards of the Chianti Classico area, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Montecarlo, and Bolgheri. The Enoteca can also design excursions to fit a client's specific interest. Trips include wine tastings, cellar tours at private estates and wineries, and lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant.

Pane, Vino e Lingua: This program, "Pane, Vino e Lingua," combines Italian language instruction and Tuscany wine, food, and farm adventures into a special program. Offered in collaboration with the Koinè Centers in Florence and Lucca.
