THE SCHOOL

Centro di Lingua e Cultura IL FARO was founded by three friends and colleagueswho decided to establish this school to accomplish a dream: to offer Italian language and culture in a fresh, friendly and lively atmosphere.

Il FARO holds intensive language courses for different levels (from beginner to advanced), in small classes of a maximum of eight students and using exclusively the Italian language. The program follows the school specific teaching method, based on the extensive use of images, as modern teaching theories recommend.

To satisfy individual needs, the school also organizes custom courses of Legal Italian and Italian for Business. Additionally, IL FARO introduces Italian culture in evening seminars (free of charge) of Italian music and Italian Cinema, special individual or mini-group classes in Italian literature and Italian History of Art, and weekly seminars of Italian cooking, with a professional chef, and applied art with a young artist specialized in Venetian masks.

THE VILLAGE

IL FARO is situated in the city of Caorle, in the vicinity of Venice, a small port town, justly called ‚ “the pearl of the Adriatic Sea” for its similarities to Venice, golden beaches, untouched natural landscapes, and its interesting combination of culture and amusements.

It is extremely pleasant to spend some time swimming in Caorle’s beautiful blue sea or sunbathing on its golden beaches, often given awards for being one of the cleanest beaches in Italy. Nature lovers can share Hemingway’s fascination for the valleys of the Caorle Lagoon, which is one of the most important locations for nest building and the wintering of a wide variety of bird species.

The irresistible charm of Caorle is also partially due to its privileged geographical location, excellent for daytrips to Venice, Padua, and Verona, easily reachable by car or train in only a few hours. What’s more, IL FARO organizes excursions to lesser known places of the Veneto, to coincide with markets, art fairs, culinary festivals, historical re-evocations, and concerts, in order to grasp a true sense of Italian life in the region.
