The school

Nausicaa was foundet in 1999 in Pizzo Calabro. After a sussessful decade of hosting and teaching students in Calabria, Nausicaa will now embark on a new endeavour and reopen its centre in Patti, a charming village at the Saracena coast, 10 km from the antic city of Tindari. Nausicaa is recognised for our competence and the relaxed and friendly environment of the school. To ensure the intimacy and authenticity of your Sicilian experience, we limit the total number of partecipants per week to 10.

The courses

Nausicaa offers a range of levels to suit your ability. Private tuitions also available, beginning on your choice of day. If you are not an absolute beginner, an initial test will ensure you are placed at the right level. At Nausicaa you will not be left behind or be held back, instead you are encouraged to improve along with other students at a similar level to you.

The method

Our small classes, each with a maximum of five students, offer more intimacy and personal attention. These small classes are more easily tailored to your needs. Our teachers, who are all well- trained, will give you a varied class that feautures not only the finer points of the language, but also culture, daily life and history of Italy. The classroom language is italian and you will soon find yourself communicating with students from other countries in your new common language.
